About This Song
This song was written in the 1940's (or the 1960's -- accounts vary) by Hazel Oberhelman for use at the Leland Community Sing hosted by the Leland Country Club¹ every summer Sunday at 8 P.M. -- The public is invited.
This song was later "adopted" as a regular feature of the after-dinner sing at the Leland Yacht Club's annual Barbecruise.
I've been unable to determine who currently owns the rights to this song, but it is almost certainly public domain at this point. If anyone knows whom I should ask for permission, let me know. Anyone interested in helping me make a recording one Sunday at the Sing? I'll make the recording available on this site.

¹ Originally I wrote that the Sing was "sponsored by the Leland Yacht Club". This was a mistake, I meant to write "sponsored by the Leland Country Club". Sorry for any confusion.
